Safety signage will be erected on Southend's seafront shared space in the next two weeks, in an attempt to cut down on accidents in the area.

The installations will warn drivers to be aware of people crossing the road, and it is expected that they will be ready in seven to ten working days. However, the wording of them has not yet been disclosed, reports the Echo.

A council representative said: "The signs are being prepared and we expect them to be installed soon."

It is believed that the signs will most likely be attached to existing structures in the area, such as lampposts.

A report by the Ripon Gazette has revealed that more temporary warning signs will be installed around Masham, which will assist people from the south when they navigate to the town.

They will be fitted along the A1 between junction 50 with the A61 and the B6267 at Sinderby.ADNFCR-2754-ID-800783879-ADNFCR
