Southdale’s health and safety manager has been honoured with a leading industry award.

Matthew Bostwick, who has been in the position for six years, was named as best individual health and safety leader by the National House Building Council, reports BDaily.co.uk.

After joining the company in January 2007, the business’ NHBC All Builder Average for health and safety has decreased from 12 points to 0.7 points.

Paul Moore, managing director of Southdale, said: “Matthew has instilled an ethos of health and safety which runs throughout the company and its supply chain, from myself through to everyone on site, whether or not they are directly employed by Southdale.”

Mr Moore described the award as “hugely deserved”, adding that it reflects Matthew’s drive to make construction a safer industry.

He went on to say that Matthew’s efforts have seen the company gain a number of NHBC Better Than Best Practice honours, along with multiple accolades from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).ADNFCR-2754-ID-801614586-ADNFCR
