Signage in the Somerset area of Pretty Oak may be improved by the local council, after complaints from local residents.

Homeowners in the area have stated that signs near the A30 between Pretty Oak and Barleymows Restaurant are unclear, with a representative from Somerset County Council admitting to Thisisthewestcountry.co.uk that some of them are "in need of attention".

A representative from the authority told the news provider: "There are several signs which are loose and turned on their posts or have suffered collision damage and need replacing."

They added that an extensive sign cleaning programme is currently in action, which will be extended to encompass the Pretty Oak main junction.

New signage was recently erected in the Peak District as a means of reminding walkers to keep their pets under control.

The decision was made after sheep were found dead in the park, prompting officials to tell visitors that dogs must be kept on a lead while they are close to farm animals.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801326006-ADNFCR
