A farm shop in Stowe has seen its business affected after being forced to take down its roadside signage.

Boycott Farm Shop in the village has seen its business drop rapidly, following Aylesbury Vale District Council's decision to order the signage's removal, according to Buckingham Today.

Speaking to the news provider, store manager Helen Jefferies said: "The impact has been huge. People think we’re closed, and people who are new to the area can’t find us."

Ms Jefferies also noted that the company may soon have to consider reducing its number of staff, while the shop's owner Richard Hilsdon said that it is the first time business has fallen since the last period of snowfall.

Elsewhere, residents in Oxford recently began carrying out road improvements themselves as part of a DIY project.

The scheme will see warning signs and pavement markings supplied by the local community, with each street having safety measures which are tailored to its needs.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801320526-ADNFCR
