Sign blunder frustrates Connah's Quay businesses

An error with warning signs in Flintshire has frustrated many of the area's businesses, leading to a loss in bank holiday trade.

Roadworks had been erected on Dee Road in Connah's Quay before ScottishPower carried out the work, though they were not removed after it was completed, reports the Flintshire Chronicle.

A Flintshire County Council representative told the newspaper: "Unfortunately, there appears to have been a breakdown in communication between ScottishPower and their contractors and the signs were left in place until this morning."

The spokesperson continued by saying that ScottishPower has been instructed to remove the signs as soon as possible, and apologised for any inconvenience that the error may have caused.

This week, the Milngavie and Bearsden Herald reported that creators of warning signs in Bearsden have been commanded to restart their work.

This was due to a mistake made at a roundabout in the area, where road users at the Laungfaulds junction were told that they were driving around the Langfields roundabout.ADNFCR-2754-ID-800717319-ADNFCR
