A guard rail has been installed outside a Northampton cafe, while new safety signage is also set to be introduced.

These changes at Wolfie's Cafe were prompted after an uninsured driver crashed into the building last year, inflicting structural damage. As a result of the crash, the café's owner appealed for measures to be put in place to protect the business, reports the Northampton Chronicle.

Plans were then announced in December for a guard rail to be introduced, alongside new signage.

Kelly Riley, owner of the cafe, told the newspaper: "It gives me piece of mind that there is protection for the building. I’ve being asking for something for a while."

Elsewhere, Cambrian News has reported that councillors in Aberystwyth believe that new warning signs are required to stop motorists from speeding.

These councillors are set to write to Ceredigion Council to urge for flashing signs to be introduced.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801254504-ADNFCR
