The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has teamed up with Sportscover in an effort to improve quality and safety in Britain’s sport and leisure sector.

Both groups will aim to identify emerging risks that cause injuries and accidents in the sector. It is hoped the work will create a better understanding of the root of problems and how they can be tackled.

RoSPA wants the industry to embrace the ethos as being “as safe as necessary, not as safe as possible”.

David Walker, RoSPA’s leisure safety manager, said: “We are confident that this partnership will help spread the benefits of good risk management and high quality expertise across the sector with the help of Sportscover’s huge reach of clients, whether it be individual participants, coaches, instructors, facility operators, event organisers or indeed national governing bodies.”

Mr Walker went on to say that Sportcover shares RoSPA’s commitment to improving safety.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801602917-ADNFCR
