Northamptonshire County Council make sign error

Drivers in Northamptonshire were recently left confused after Give Way signs were incorrectly installed by the local council.
The Daventry Express reported that a new footpath was introduced on the access road to Wimborne Place to enable easier pedestrian access to the primary school, nurse and park. This work led to the road being narrowed, allowing only one vehicle past.
Warning signs were designed to inform drivers of which direction had priority and where to give way, but the notices led to traffic building in both directions.
“It was down to human error. One of the signs was upside down. Engineers have now been out to the site to correct the error and we apologise for any inconvenience caused,” a representative stated.
After new safety signs have been unveiled, drivers should look out for any errors that have been made, as these can be dangerous for road users.
