New sign may arrive for Buntingford market

A new sign may be installed to promote the Monday market in Buntingford, while warning signs may also be considered for the site.

The promotional sign can be erected if the town's chamber of commerce supplies the sufficient money, while the market owners are hoping to encourage traders to park elsewhere, according to the Hertfordshire Mercury, which may cause them to contemplate using warning signs.

However, the town council's amenities committee is unsure if the promotional sign is necessary.

Councillor Eunice Woods told the news provider: "They want it on Market Hill but there are already plastic signs hanging up in four of the trees."

Last week, the Liverpool Echo revealed that street signage on a Wirral promenade has been stolen.

The signs were taken from a section of the Kings Parade area, which is named after Ian Fraser, who was handed the Victoria Cross for his achievements in World War II.ADNFCR-2754-ID-800726975-ADNFCR
