New RoSPA guide aims to boost road safety

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has issued a free guide for councillors in an effort to improve road safety.

It has joined up with a selection of other organisations to update Road Safety: A Guide for Local Councillors in England, which will help to identify high risk road users and common causes of accidents.

Kevin Clinton, RoSPA's head of road safety, said: "The need to prevent people getting hurt or killed has become even more urgent following moves to cut public spending.

"Local authorities, in particular, have faced substantial spending restrictions, which affect their ability to deliver the vast range of public services for which they are responsible."

RoSPA will be hosting its New and Emerging Methods of Delivering Road Safety seminar in Birmingham on March 7th, where a limited number of free places are still available.

The show will examine how new and emerging methods can deliver cost-effective road safety projects.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801541939-ADNFCR
