Manchester Central has joined the list of venues that have adopted the eGuide, which may cause its safety signage to be altered.

The document is the common regulative policy for major UK exhibition venues and was created by the Association of Event Venues (AEV) and the Manchester site will use it as its primary health and safety rule book.

Manchester Central Health and Safety Event Manager Carol MacInnes said: "Manchester Central has been working towards eGuide adoption for some time, and have found its insight into common practices across major UK venues invaluable."

Ms MacInnes continued by stating that she sees the adoption of the eGuide as a major tool to enable the best possible experience for the venue's customers.

Elsewhere, the British Safety Council has introduced a new website, which the organisation hopes will strengthen its interaction with members and boost commitments to standards in the health and safety sector.ADNFCR-2754-ID-800790338-ADNFCR
