The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) has launched a new website in a bid to help businesses with fears about regulation.

The Safe Start Up site is a step-by-step guide, clearing up any uncertainties regarding rules for small businesses, ensuring that all companies are aware of the laws they must adhere to.

IOSH research and information services manager Jane White said: "We've spelt out what the requirements are and how to meet them, answering many other concerns about health and safety they may have."

Ms White noted that the guide will ensure that business owners are able to have more confidence in keeping their employees and customers safe.

Last month, IOSH awarded its innovation of the year prize to Nationwide Platforms' SkySiren system after it was well received by clients.

The technology has been used on a selection of Britain's largest projects following its launch at the end of 2011.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801481117-ADNFCR
