The British Safety Council has introduced an e-learning version of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health's (IOSH) Working Safely course.

It is designed to provide information regarding the essentials of health and safety, giving people help when it comes to keeping themselves and colleagues safe at work. In its new e-learning format, the course can also be accessed online at any time.

John Phillips, director of qualifications and standards at the British Safety Council, said: "This new e-learning course provides people at work with a vital understanding of the basics of health and safety and environmental management, and helps support a positive safety culture within an organisation."

Mr Phillips noted that, as it has been approved by IOSH, the course is a highly respected training programme.

News of this new e-learning course comes after more than 100 farmers across Devon and Cornwall took part in a number of practical workshops conducted by Duchy College and Lantra-approved trainers, which are designed to teach people how to avoid injuries on farms.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801316096-ADNFCR
