Leicestershire is currently hosting the sixth annual Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Networks Conference, which started on November 5th.

The conference, held at the Radisson Blu in East Midlands Airport, will be attended by over 180 health and safety professionals, from locations as far afield as the Middle East and the Caribbean.

At the event, the office of president will be passed on to Tim Briggs from Goole, Yorkshire, for a 12-month term.

IOSH is the world’s largest body for health and safety professionals. The charity is based in Wigston, Leicestershire, however it works through a network of local groups and branches.

Rob Cooling, chair of the IOSH Middle East Branch, said: “The Networks Conference presents a unique opportunity to share information and disseminate best practice across IOSH branches and groups.”

Jan Chmiel, chief executive of IOSH, said: “IOSH has a network of more than 43,000 members around the world and this is about giving something back to them.”ADNFCR-2754-ID-801657461-ADNFCR
