An apprentice from Holyhead has been recognised at the National Construction College (NCC) East annual apprentice awards, indicating the rewards that may come the way of companies which use efficient safety signage.

Dewi Wyn Williams was handed the plant operatives and health and safety award at the ceremony, which was hosted at NCC's campus in Bircham Newton, Norfolk. He was one of 17 apprentices who were honoured at the event, reports DPW West.

Andy Walder, director of the NCC, celebrated the efforts of the apprentices.

Mr Walder explained: "Their apprenticeship, taught by highly skilled instructors in top-class facilities, will be the best introduction that they could wish for into our exciting sector."

Recently, The Institution of Occupational Health and Safety organised a training roadshow.

It will take place in Cambridgeshire on September 22nd and aims to provide tips on how workplaces can become safer.ADNFCR-2754-ID-800718757-ADNFCR
