Health and safety signs for play area

Health and safety signage will be installed at a play area in a Lincolnshire town thanks to a £10,000 funding grant.

Residents living in Main Ridge East, in Boston, came together at the U-Decide day to select seven key community projects worthy of receiving the cash, the Boston Standard reports.

And some of the funding, from Lincolnshire County Council and the NHS, will go toward developing health and safety signage at the town's Burgess Pit community play area.

Money will also be used to plant flowers along the riverside and install a five-a-side football pitch.

Other areas that will be boosted by the cash include the county's probation service, with the appointment of a paid supervisor for the Community Pay Back Unit, more litter bins and the setting up of a community choir.

Earlier this month it was announced that health and safety signage worth £2 million will be part of a regeneration project in Bargoed, Wales.ADNFCR-2754-ID-800083423-ADNFCR
