Harrogate Cricket Club has continued its preparations for the start of the new season by hosting a Ground Force Day at its St George's Road home.
The venue was given a lick of paint and was spruced up by club members, parents and friends who were invited to take part in the event.
Volunteers turned up with their own paintbrushes and mucked in to ensure that the ground lives up to its reputation as being one of the best in the county.
Warning signs were also put up to make visitors aware of the danger of being hit by cricket balls, while a designated area for players is highlighted by further notices.
The Ground Force Day ran between 10:00BST and 16:00BST, with bacon sandwiches and hot pork rolls served to feed the hungry workers.
George Owram, a member of the board at Harrogate Cricket Club, said: "This is the chance [for members] to make an impact and smarten up the best club in Yorkshire."
