Gwynedd Council to install new road signs

Gwynedd Council is set to begin work on fitting new surfaces and warning signs on the B457 at Nant Y Garth and the A4244 in Pentir.

The work hopes to boost safety and lower the number of collisions in the areas, after councillor John Wyn Williams told the Daily Post that there has been a higher number of accidents in Nant Y Garth Hill.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is another company that is aiming to boost road safety, as it recently released its Social Factors in Road Safety Report, investigating how location and family earnings can influence the possibility of road accidents.

Mr Williams told the news provider that ten serious incidents have been recorded in the last five years.

"I'm delighted that funding of £185,000 has been found by TAITH, the North Wales transport consortia, to realize the work and to improve and reduce accidents on the road at Nant y Garth and in Pentir," he added.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801484363-ADNFCR
