GSK launches Olympics sign

The UK's biggest Olympics sign has been introduced as part of a new advertising campaign.

GlaxoSmithKline's (GSK) project aims to emphasise the role that science will play when it comes to keeping the event free of drugs, with the company making use of anti-doping science to spot any cheats.

The sign covers GSK's headquarters in Brentford, while other notices will be placed on advertisement spaces throughout the country.

The campaign features some of the Olympics' top athletes, including Phillips Idowu, Beth Tweddle and Marlon Devonish.

Phil Thompson, senior vice president of global communications at GSK, said: "Our advertising campaign aims to showcase the hard work, determination and natural ability that is central to each athlete’s performance."

Large signs can be very effective in promoting brands and campaigns across the UK, particularly when they are incorporated into a larger marketing project such as GSK's.

By using signage, companies will be able to promote their products to Britons who were previously unaware of their services.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801409790-ADNFCR
