Companies that ineffectively enforce health and safety measures could see their business reputations damaged, it has been warned.

If firms do not succeed with their health and safety efforts, people's attention can be diverted away from serving customers, while they can also be left with potential for significant reputational damage, a representative from Bibby Consulting & Support has argued.

Michael Slade, managing director at Bibby Consulting & Support, said: "It is vital you get procedures right, so that you can make sure that people are properly looked after so accidents, slips and trips are sorted out."

Mr Slade particularly emphasised that health and safety must be correct in care homes, as inefficient measures can impact relations of people in the home.

He also recently highlighted the issues that small businesses face when attempting to monitor health and safety, explaining that some firms cannot afford to employ people to focus on making their working environment safe.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801309256-ADNFCR
