It is extremely important for employers to ensure that excellent standards of safety are upheld in the workplace by assessing risks, displaying safety signs and making sure that any identified dangers have been dealt with.

However, it is easy to forget that a great deal of accidents occur in the home. Luckily, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has extended its Home Safety Equipment Scheme.

RoSPA has been providing eligible families throughout Scotland with safety equipment "ranging from safety gates to fireguards, window restrictors, bath mats, corner cushions, door jammers, cleats and cupboard locks".

The organisation has now expanded this scheme to cover more areas of Scotland. Carlene McAvoy, community safety development officer for RoSPA Scotland, said: "We are on the lookout for families who could benefit most from this scheme which has the potential to save lives and reduce injuries."ADNFCR-2754-ID-801690239-ADNFCR
