Facilities Services Group (FSG) has announced that it will introduce an innovative training programme in an effort to boost health and safety standards.

The firm is producing 32 short videos for its operatives, with each one focussing on a particular health and safety topic, such as driving techniques and asbestos awareness.  The content will be available for people to view via a secure area of FSG's website.

Nick Greef, health and safety manager at the company, said: "Producing all our tool box talks into a video format is a major undertaking, but we believe the process will help get the health and safety message across in a consistent and appealing way."

Mr Greef emphasised that the videos will be archived online, meaning that operatives have useful guidance to call upon when necessary.

Elsewhere, the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management has confirmed that it will partner with the Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland and other organisations to boost awareness of hazards in the country's waste sector.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801329191-ADNFCR
