Eco Plastics has been awarded the OHSAS 18001 health and safety management standard.

PRW.com has reported that the firm collected the accolade following a seven-day audit process at its Hemswell facility, which was processed by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance.

Speaking to the news provider, Jonathan Short, managing director of Eco Plastics, noted that the accreditation indicates how much the business has developed.

"We are extremely proud of our health and safety record, with our key performance indicators tracking closer to the trend lines associated with manufacturing businesses," Mr Short commented.

He added that the company is devoted to employing safe and sustainable practices across its everyday business.

Carmentshire-based steel-framed building specialist Shufflebottom is another firm that has recently been commended for its approach to health and safety.

It collected a gold award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), recognising the business' efforts to prevent accidents and improve occupational safety.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801516643-ADNFCR
