Eastchurch Primary School is being left waiting for a safety sign to be installed, after being promised the measure two months ago.

Kent Highways announced in February that an interactive installation would be put up in Leysdown Road by March, but the sign is yet to be erected, according to the Sheerness Times Guardian.

Speaking to the news provider, councillor Pat Sandle said: "They have put some temporary signs up which has made it a bit clearer but we haven't got the flashing sign yet which we were promised."

Ms Sandle continued by saying that, while the temporary signs are better than none at all, they are still not sufficient.

Elsewhere, new signage is also anticipated at a space near Gloucester city centre, after the local authority deemed that shoppers were at risk of being hit by vehicles in the area.

The new installations will notify pedestrians that they are entering a "shared space".ADNFCR-2754-ID-801346223-ADNFCR
