Air cadets in East Sussex have received a demonstration on road safety from fire fighters.

The Hastings Observer has reported that the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) visited a group of air cadets and staff from East Sector to teach them about how to protect their wellbeing.

Cadet Jordan Page, aged 15, told the news provider: “I was really moved by what I saw in the film presentation and it gave me insight into what can happen. I will definitely think about how to use the road when I learn to drive.”

Nineteen-year-old cadet warrant officer Jordan Page also emphasised that she will now be better prepared in the field of safety, as the demonstration gave her an insight into what can happen.

It is important that youngsters are educated about road safety, as accidents can easily occur and injure road users, while pedestrians need to be wary of any oncoming traffic at all times.
