Dorset Action on Safety and Health (DASH) has announced the introduction of its Health and Safety Induction programme, which may cause firms to evaluate their warning signs.

DASH is a partnership comprised of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), local authorities in Dorset and the New Forest and private waste companies. It has been developed by managers in the waste industry over the last two years.

Trudi Sully, HSE inspector, said: "The HSE have been involved with DASH since it's inception in 2006. Over that time the group has continually sought to improve health and safety standards across the waste and recycling industry within the region."

The spokesperson emphasised that it has been a personal honour to work with the project's committee, which has shown great commitment to health and safety standards.

Elsewhere, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents has claimed that the government needs to tackle the hidden epidemic of home accidents.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801214903-ADNFCR
