More businesses may consider changing their safety signs after a recent vow from a member of the Country Land and Business Association (CLA).

Speaking at yesterday's (May 19th) Devon Show, a farming specialist from the group has pledged to highlight health and safety issues across the next year, according to the Farmers Guardian.

CLA south-west director John Mortimer told the news provider: "Around 45 people have died in on farm accidents in the last year and things cannot go on like this. Things must change.

"When lives are shattered by on-farm accidents it is families who have to pick up the pieces. The Addington fund also assists quite often, but the situation must be changed."

Employers who wish to learn more about health and safety may want to visit this year's Health and Safety 11-North event at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton on October 5th.ADNFCR-2754-ID-800550893-ADNFCR
