The British Safety Council (BSC) has introduced a new e-learning course that is designed to help business managers to understand health and safety laws.

The course should take between two and three hours to complete and develops an action plan based on how users respond to numerous questions, reports PRW.com.

Speaking to the news provider, John Phillips, the BSC’s director of qualifications and standards, said: "The course is interactive and engaging, and quizzes are used throughout to test the learner’s knowledge and understanding.

"The course covers personal and organisational duties under health and safety law, the business benefits of good health and safety and the essentials of effective risk management."

Mr Phillips explained that the qualification will help people to understand the benefits of formal health and safety systems.

Businesses need to ensure they are fully aware of safety laws, or they could face legal action from the Health and Safety Executive.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801560382-ADNFCR
