Barker Ross has announced its Worksafe package, which aims to improve health and safety standards among businesses in the construction, civil engineering and housing sectors.

The programme can be customised to suit the needs of individual employers, taking into account induction processes and codes of conduct for drug and alcohol testing, accident call-out processes and operational training.

News of this initiative comes after Peter Start was honoured for his health and safety efforts with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health's (IOSH) person of the year accolade.

Antony Rowe, managing director of Barker Ross, said: "This is our way of making sure new employees are as well prepared in health and safety as possible. We know our clients take health and safety extremely seriously and have their own programmes which Worksafe can complement and support."

One part of Worksafe is the health and safety competence platform, which has been created in partnership with Risk Safety Consultants.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801490249-ADNFCR
