Warning signs will be erected to warn visitors to a popular Scottish walking spot that part of a cliff face has fallen away.
Davie Walker told the Berwickshire News that he had been urging Scottish Borders Council (SBC) to take action after the cliff at Eyemouth Bay gave way last week.
He said he had voiced concerns over the state of the cliff edge last summer, but nothing had been done to warn the public.
Mr Davie added that after he noticed the cliff had fallen away and he had reported it to the council, no warning signs had been put up.
"I reported this to Scottish Borders Council six months ago but absolutely nothing was done. You could see that parts of the cliff were starting to split and were going to fall away," he told the newspaper.
A spokesperson for SBC said that it would install warning signs at the cliff spot.
