People walking at the Seaton Cliffs hotspot have been advised to take notice of safety signage in order to prevent injury.

The area outside Arbroath is popular with tourists and local residents, but the cliff edges make it a potentially hazardous spot. In light of this, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has warned people in a report by the Courier.

A representative for the group said: "Take note of any safety signs or information — it's there for a reason, and may highlight hazards that are not immediately obvious. Crumbling cliffs are often not apparent until it's too late."

The spokesperson added that people with children or dogs should keep them under close supervision.

Last month, IndustryToday.co.uk reported that pupils at Beverley's St Nicholas Primary School were invited to design their own safety signs for a Linden Homes housing development that is located close to the school.ADNFCR-2754-ID-800634193-ADNFCR
