VWS has been recognised at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) awards.

The President’s award in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards was presented to the company in Birmingham earlier this month.

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition.

“VWS (UK) Ltd has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of an award.”

The awards date back 57 years, making it the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in Britain, recognising commitment to accident and ill health prevention in the UK and overseas.

In recent weeks, Northern Rail collected a safety award from RoSPA for the fifth time in a row, highlighting the firm’s great performance with regard to the wellbeing of workers.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801593524-ADNFCR
