Veolia Environment Services’ Stewartby facility has captured a RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) gold award for its health and safety efforts.

The honour shows the continuing efforts that staff have made to guarantee that all workers operate in a safe and healthy environment, with the award being presented as part of the Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2013, reports Bedford Today.

Director of hazardous waste services for Veolia Environmental Services Sarah Moseley told the news provider: “The health and safety of our people and the environment are paramount to us, so we’re delighted our approach to occupational health and safety at Stewartby has been recognised in this way.”

The RoSPA Awards scheme has gone on for 57 years and is the longest-running programme of its kind in Britain, recognising commitments to accident and ill-health prevention.

This news comes after ESS Offshore Support Services won the president’s award from RoSPA.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801624359-ADNFCR
