The Solvents Industry Association has won an award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

It picked up the SME Assistance Trophy due to its exceptional contribution to helping small and medium-sized businesses with accident and ill-health prevention.

The trade association’s general secretary Peter Davis collected the award at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel earlier this month, with the honour recognising the most outstanding contribution made by a trade association when it comes to providing health and safety assistance.

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “The Solvents Industry Association was selected as 2013 SME Assistance Trophy winner in recognition of its complete range of information and advisory services for members, and its good approach to promoting awareness of current issues in health and safety,”

The SME Assistance Trophy is presented every year as part of the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards, which are sponsored by the the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).ADNFCR-2754-ID-801588262-ADNFCR
