Signage improves airport traffic flow

2nd December 2009 | Construction Signs

Warning signs are being employed at the City of Derry Airport to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow during major development work. The car park at the facility is undergoing improvements over an eight-week period, which have led to the use of the signage. Airport manager Damien Tierney is advising visitors to allow more time for their journeys to take into account the construction. "Temporary arrangements are in place and members of the public are encouraged to follow all temporary signage and to comply with car park and security staff at all times," he commented. Mr Tierney went on to say that the work is necessary and will lead to improved services at the airport. Last month, the Northampton Chronicle and Echo reported that 2,000 people signed a petition calling for more road safety signs and fencing to be put in place along a dangerous stretch of the A45 in Northampton.
