Safety signs to be used while M25 is closed
18th November 2009 | Warning Signs
Safety signs are to be used while vital work takes place on the M25 in the coming weeks. The motorway is to be widened in parts, with the junction 17 exit and entry slip roads being closed for five nights this month and safety signs put in place to provide a diversion for drivers. In addition, construction signs will be used on the junction 18 entry road while reconstruction work takes place, most of which will occur through the night between 22:00 BST and 05:00 BST. "Work to widen M25 between junctions 27 and 28 to four lanes is also taking place, with three narrow lanes in each direction available during busy times, and safety signs indicating that a free recovery service will be available. Meanwhile, construction signs are to be used on junctions 11 (Dunstable) and 12 (Toddington) on the M1 while work to improve the motorway is undertaken.
