The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is now accepting applications for the fifth round of funding for its accident prevention scholarship, which it is running in partnership with British Nuclear Fuels (BNFL).

It provides support for safety-related research, bringing defined, practical and influential outcomes to help save lives and stop injuries in Britain and across the globe. The project was launched with £500,000 of legacy funding after BNFL wound up.

RoSPA will also be closing its Management of Occupational Road Risk Awards on December 3rd, which aims to honour those who drive to work and display excellence when it comes to managing road safety.

Tom Mullarkey, RoSPA chief executive, said: "Now the competition is on for those involved with safety and risk education to submit concise details of their proposals to ensure that they are in with the chance of securing funding to help make their project a reality."

Mr Mullarkey explained that the scheme is an important asset to RoSPA with regard to helping the company achieve its aim of saving lives and reducing injuries.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801491156-ADNFCR
