The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) believes that social media will play a key role in reducing road deaths.

Its 78th annual Road Safety Seminar will examine the advantages of using black box technology to boost driver behaviour, while looking at the ways that public and road safety teams can work together.

Kevin Clinton, RoSPA’s head of road safety, said: "This year’s event will have a focus on making the most of modern technology and new ways of working, including social media and black boxes in cars.

"There are a range of fascinating speakers who can give an insight into new approaches to reduce road deaths and injuries at a time when there is less funding around to tackle road safety."

RoSPA recently launched a new trophy to enable businesses to cut work-related road accidents.

The award will premiere at this year's Occupational Health and Safety Awards, where the best use of technology in managing occupational road risk will be explored.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801553346-ADNFCR
