Ransomes Jacobsen has collected a gold award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The honour was presented in a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, where the company was commended after RoSPA looked at its accident records and health and safety management systems.

David Rawlins, RoSPA's awards manager, said: “RoSPA firmly believes that organisations that demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention deserve recognition.

“Ransomes Jacobsen has shown that it is committed to striving for such continuous improvement and we are delighted to honour it through the presentation of this gold award.”

The majority of awards handed out by RoSPA are non-competitive, with achievements being marked at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels.

Its awards scheme now dates back 57 years, making it the largest and longest running programme of its kind in Britain. The programme is open to businesses of all sizes across the country.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801617867-ADNFCR
