Newhaven mayor to launch Sussex health and safety event

Newhaven mayor Graham Amy will open a health and safety event at Tennyson Suite in Newhaven Enterprise Centre on March 18th.
Health and safety consultants Tennyson Suite is set to stage a showcase to introduce the advantages of good health and safety in businesses, according to the Sussex Express.
Speaking to the news provider, director of Tennyson Suite Tom Lawrence said: "Our intention with this showcase is to show the hidden benefits of health and safety plus demonstrate the fun side of the industry so please come along and see how important we take your safety and security."
The event will also include free information courses and specialist training for businesses and professionals.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is another organisation that is aiming to improve health and safety, with the group's Prioritising Accident Prevention: A Public Health Issue conference scheduled for March 21st.
At the event, RoSPA chief executive Errol Taylor will highlight how accident prevention can save lives.
