Police and highways officials in Staffordshire are in discussions about installing new safety signs on a road in the county.

These talks were prompted after a motorcyclist died on the B5026 road, which is situated in between Eccleshall and Loggerheads, according to the Sentinel.

The incident occurred when the road user crashed into Henry Palmer's tractor on the road.

Mr Palmer, who lives in Wetwood, told Cannock Coroner's Court: "As I started the manoeuvre and began to turn I saw a motorbike appear through the left-hand door window of the tractor.

"I tried to accelerate to get out of the way because I was blocking the road but the motorbike hit me."

Road safety has also been a key concern for Welsh motorists, with WalesOnline reporting that Improve Roads Improve Safety has urged the government to spend more money in road signage, as doing so would help to decrease the number of road accidents.ADNFCR-2754-ID-800523698-ADNFCR
