The Lancashire village of Adlington has gained new warning signs, informing local people that antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.

Chorley Council has produced the signs to help the police in combating the issue, after residents in the area called for more to be done to eliminate the problem, according to the Lancashire Evening Post.

Eric Bell, who oversees community safety at Chorley Council, told the newspaper: "The police did trial a ‘yellow card’ scheme as a means of raising awareness of the police powers.

"At a recent meeting of the police, local councillors and Adlington residents it was asked for a similar scheme to be re-introduced."

These new signs have been installed after the Witney Gazette reported that the location of signs in Headington will be reviewed because they are causing issues to cyclists.

Oxfordshire County Council has owed to investigate the position of signs in roadworks on London Road.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801237336-ADNFCR
