Attendees at the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health's (IOSH's) 2014 conference were greeted today by a rallying cry to "do something that makes a difference" from the organisation's president elect, Ian Harper.

The safety convention is a place for delegates to discuss how to meet the ever-changing challenges of keeping the workplace safe. Everything from warning signs to first aid will be covered in a series of talks and conversations.

The 'big debate' of the conference this year was entitled: "Deregulation: evading responsibility or doing the 'right' thing?" This was discussed by a host of safety experts.

IOSH president Tim Briggs said: "The IOSH conference remains essential because it gives people the opportunity to develop new contacts and network with inspirational practitioners, and we have had some great feedback from members who have appreciated the range of speakers."ADNFCR-2754-ID-801729357-ADNFCR
