Signage in one Leeds suburb has been bringing laughs to many motorists, as an installation on the Wickes roundabout near Pudsey spells the town as "Pudesy", the kind of mistake that many workers will not want to see on safety signage.

The name has become famous because of the Children In Need mascot, but its fame did not prevent the comical error, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Speaking to the newspaper, local resident Antony Clift said: "I couldn’t believe it when I first saw it. Some people have commented on it and I’ve taken pictures of it myself to show friends because it’s quite funny."

Mr Clift continued by saying that, due to the town's link with Children in Need, it is expected that the sign will be spelt correctly.

His remarks come after The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) donated a new kit to the Sandbach RUFC under-8s squad.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801254498-ADNFCR
