Konecranes has picked up a silver medal from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The supplier of cranes and lifting equipment was honoured in the company’s Achievement category, with the accolade coming after the business previously picked up a gold medal in 2011/2012, reports ADS Advance.

Konecranes’ UK health, safety, environmental and quality manager Dave Harvey told the news provider: “Safety must always be our number one priority and keeping that at the forefront of everyone’s mind is vital.

“Our ongoing approach will be to deliver improved performance by fostering a safety culture right across the business.”

Mr Harvey went on to say that the company has seen a year-on-year downward trend when it comes to accident occurrence.

Konecranes already has a UK workforce of more than 500 people, including 280 technicians, and is looking to strengthen its HSEQ team in the next few months.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801621457-ADNFCR
