IOSH announces new Dublin office

The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) has opened a new premises in Dublin .

It has more than 2,000 members based in Ireland and works with public bodies, local businesses and other groups to help reduce workplace accidents in the country.

Hazel Harvey, executive director of membership for IOSH, said: "IOSH has a vision of a world of work which is safe, healthy and sustainable. We want to continue to see out this vision, by building on our relationships with businesses and public bodies."

Ms Harvey explained that IOSH wants to spread the word that realistic health and safety processes save lives and deliver benefits for businesses.

The organisation is planning to expand its presence in Ireland by offering operational roles across a number of sectors.

Recently, IOSH urged companies in Northern Ireland to establish a strong safety culture, advising bosses to adopt behavioural safety strategies to help reduce the number of people injured at work.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801500935-ADNFCR
