Hertel collects health and safety honour from RoSPA

Hertel has been given the president's award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), after its safety performance was recognised for the 14th time.
The accolade is only given to companies that have collected ten or more golds in succession, with RoSPA analysing business' health and safety management, risk control policies and risk assessments.
Speaking to the North-West Evening Mail, Chris Abbey, head of health, safety, environment and quality, said: "Health and safety is ingrained in the culture of Hertel. Every member of staff, from long-term employees to temporary sub-contractors, is educated and expected to abide by Hertel’s high standards."
Mr Abbey explained that these measures are reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that the company meets the latest best practices.
Business minister Matthew Hancock recently spoke to the Commons regarding health and safety, stating that businesses behaving responsibly have no reason to fear breaching regulations
