HE Simm is to introduce an initiative in an effort to upskill its entire UK supply chain.

The move has been made as part of a Passport to Work safety project, which will see the company provide subsidised training to nearly 100 stakeholders companies in a bid to boost on-site health and safety measures.

Gareth Simm, HE Simm managing director, said: "The Passport to Work is key in our aim to provide the safest possible working practices for all our staff and stakeholders."

As part of the campaign, an online portal has been launched, providing stakeholders with access to Passport to Work updates, guidelines and training information.

Additionally, an access card will be used to keep records of everyone working on-site for HE Simm throughout Britain.

News of this project comes after Stokesley gas analysis manufacturer Analox picked up the health and safety accolade at the Best Factory Awards 2012.

The judges deemed the company to have an "absolute focus" on customer service and trustworthy ethical operation.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801506874-ADNFCR
