Gus Robinson Developments has picked up the gold award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for nine years running.

This puts the company in place to pick up the president’s award in 2014 if it continues its high standards, joining past recipients such as Heerema, Shell and Morrisons.

Michelle Boylan, health and safety co-ordinator at the firm, said: “Our challenge now is to continue our extremely high standards over the next year so we can attain the President’s Award, which for a company of our size would be a massive boost.

“The recipients of this award are usually big multi-national businesses so it would be a huge honour for us if we were to win it."

Ms Boylan added that winning the award nine years in a row “speaks volumes” about the company’s health and safety culture.

The award dates back 57 years, making the RoSPA awards scheme the longest running of its kind in the UK.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801625456-ADNFCR
