Greenfield driver criticises misleading road signs

A Greenfield driver has criticised road signs in the area, warning that hundreds of motorists could face fines because of their misleading nature.

Speaking to the Flintshire Chronicle, Mike White claimed that there were 40mph signs on the A548, which later changed to 30mph later in the day.

The council did not confirm whether the notices were altered during the afternoon.

"The camera flashed so I went back to take a picture. Then later on, about 19:00 GMT, I went back down the road and the signs said 30mph!," Mr White stated.

He emphasised that numerous other drivers were getting flashed while he took photos, adding that speeding tickets will be handed out "for nothing".

This news comes after the Croydon Advertiser reported that road signs have been put in St Peter's Road, South Croydon that point in the wrong direction.

One of the notices reads "South Croydon shops", even though it directs motorists in a different direction.ADNFCR-2754-ID-801481118-ADNFCR
